Can we separate the archetype of the book and its functionality from the materials it is made of? Is it possible to strip the book off of essential qualities such as its content and still tell a story?
In the series Untitled the book serves as a material, physical, and cultural point of departure for the creation of new objects that stand on their own, and cannot be named.
Unlike a book, in which the content is not directly linked to the physicality of the object, the objects in the series demonstrate a direct link between the materiality and physicality and the content of the object and its story.

Punti bench for Gaga & Design 2011
The Punti bench is the result of a study of color, shapes and traditional weaving methods. The color mix emphasizes the weaving technique, in which the outer frame is coiled ahead of the seating surface. The bench was inspired by abstract paintings where random drops of color create visuals that are both deliberate and haphazard. The Punti bench has this same sense of order and disorder, all surface areas are perfectly round, yet their sizes are varied. Though the mix of colors were carefully chosen, the weaving pattern is completely random and unique to each bench. The shadow patterns cast by external lighting adds a further, changeable aspect to the bench.
