Can we separate the archetype of the book and its functionality from the materials it is made of? Is it possible to strip the book off of essential qualities such as its content and still tell a story?
In the series Untitled the book serves as a material, physical, and cultural point of departure for the creation of new objects that stand on their own, and cannot be named.
Unlike a book, in which the content is not directly linked to the physicality of the object, the objects in the series demonstrate a direct link between the materiality and physicality and the content of the object and its story.

Urban Tree Bench
The bench experiments on our roots and bonds with nature. It encourages people to feel comfortable to climb and seat on a tree in an urban setting, an act that not only we refrain from, it rarely crosses our minds.
One of the studies that lead me to the product included seating on trees in Tel Aviv boulevards and inviting people to climb up and seat along. Many of them gladly obliged and leisurely told me about their childhoods.
It made me realized its potential to connect between people and their dreams, reducing the alienation experienced at urban environments and giving a different perspective point of view of the street. And most important, creating a playful rapprochement between man and nature.
Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Boulevards 2007
